![]() ![]() ![]() I am originally from the Vancouver, BC area, I left Canada after a very painful end to a 7 year relationship with a very special person. I accepted a 6 month contract with an Internet Information Provider in Surfers Paradise, Australia. I loved living in Australia and will be building a separate page with more information later. While in Surfers (as the locals call it) I lived in the most luxurious high rise on the East Coast. The Grand Mariner is painted different shades of purple because it was built in 1989 during the time period when alot of people from Hong Kong were buying property in the area. Money from Hong Kong was purple, or so I was told. In mid November, I completed the contract and boarded a Qantas flight to Los Angeles for a short time and then in early December I was off to San Diego for another contract. That contract lasted till early April of this year. Being originally from Vancouver BC, I wanted to come back to this area and call it home so I started chatting with people and headhunters about jobs within Microsoft. In less than a week, I found a position as an Intranet Webmaster for the "Internet Platform & Tools Division" (now known as the "Applications and Internet Client Group"). I spent just over a year working for Microsoft and then decided it was time to move on and pursue more exciting work. I now work for the biggest little airplane company in the world developing web database front ends. I enjoy meeting new people and learning about this beautiful area I now call home. I love the gym and work out at the Pro Club in Bellevue and also at Golds in Kirkland. If you see me at Starbucks or the gym, feel free to say hi (wait till my sets done though, grin). My reading choices include many magazines, mostly Hand Gun, Visual Basic, Web Tecniques and magazines related to Internet/Intranet Development. The Lifecycle is usually the only place I get to do any reading now it seems.
If you are inside the Microsoft Firewall, don't forget to check out the AICG Web (formerly IPTD Web) for the latest and greatest in the AICG (Internet Platform and Tools Division). Yes, I'm biased, it was my baby and pride and joy. I spent far too much time working on it but I truly loved my job and it kept me off the streets. Thanks for stopping in for a visit and feel free to drop by anytime, just make sure to leave your shoes at the door. I hate dirty carpets. |
